Gerald Voisin
Honorary Secretary
Gerald is currently Chairman of Voisins Department Store, which is the oldest Department store in the British Isles still in family ownership. Gerald Voisin is the sixth generation to own the business and has taken an active role in it over 30 years.
Whilst always involved in the family business, Gerald has also given his time to the community through various voluntary roles including Chairman of the Board of Governors at Highlands College before being elected as a Deputy of St Lawrence in 1999. During his six years as a member of the States of Jersey, Gerald served on the Finance and Economics Committee and the Policy and Resources Committee and was elected the first President of the Economic Development Committee. It was in this role that Gerald led the Island’s first Economic growth plan.
After leaving the States, Gerald returned to run Voisins to oversee a further period of store development and the diversification of his business interests; he has held various non-executive directorships.
