Café Dodo
Café Dodo is located right in the middle of the zoo and offers a family-friendly menu to suit everyone. Sit down and recharge your batteries over lunch or grab a takeaway to eat on the go. Café Dodo offers both hot and cold meal options.
Café Firefly
Situated inside the Visitor Centre, Café Firefly is the perfect place to sit and relax before or after a fun-filled day at the zoo. Café Firefly offers hearty breakfasts, light lunches and other sweet treats.
Picnic Areas
If you're bringing your own food with you, there are plenty of benches and scenic spots to sit and enjoy your picnic.
Children's play areas
Dodo playground
The Dodo Playground overlooks our Orangutan Islands and is suitable for children aged 2-12. Let your little monkeys run wild in this enclosed outdoor playground as you sit and soak up the atmosphere, watching the orangutans swing by in the background.
Indoor play area
If the weather isn’t so good, Café Dodo has a fantastic indoor play area with a wooden climbing frame, netting and slide, and a small soft play area for younger children. Why not sit and relax with a drink and slice of cake while your little ones play!
Sandpit
Let your little ones embrace their inner meerkat in the sandpit next door to our resident meerkat mob.
Gift Shop
Our Gift Shop is located inside the Visitor Centre and you can visit the shop without a zoo admission. Whether you’re looking to treat yourself or someone you love, our shop has a range of items to suit any budget. Choose from our selection of Durrell merchandise, a fantastic range of books for children and adults, exciting animal-themed toys and games, eco-friendly gifts and homeware, and much more!
Parking
At the zoo, we have a free car park with spaces for over 300 cars.
WiFi
Free WiFi is available in the Visitor Centre, Discovery Centre, Café Dodo and Charity Shop. Use "Durrell-Visitor".
Toilets
Toilets can be found at Café Firefly in the Visitor Centre, at Café Dodo, to the left of the bear enclosure, inside the Discovery Centre, and outside the Butterfly Kaleidoscope.
Baby changing facilities are available at Café Firefly, Café Dodo, and next to the bear enclosure. Accessible toilets are available at Café Firefly, the Discovery Centre and Café Dodo.
